The Minneapolis Pops OrchestraMissionThe mission of the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra is to bring the power and pleasure of live orchestra concerts performed by professional musicians to the Twin Cities community, free of charge. The 45 musicians of the Pops are some of the finest freelance musicians and members of full-time performing groups in the area. During the winter months, the majority of Pops musicians can also be heard playing with the Minnesota Opera Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and other distinguished musical groups.Welcome to the 2008 season!Welcome to the 59th season for the Minneapolis Pops! This year, we will be celebrating the 100th birthday of the ultimate Pops composer, Leroy Anderson. Performances begin Saturday, June 28 and continue through July 27.
