Parking in the immediate area can be a challenge; options include automated parking pay stations, a patron parking pass, some meters, and limited free street parking.

Come early to find seats on the benches directly in front of the bandshell or bring a blanket or lawn chairs and find a grassy area to relax as you listen to the music. Take time to pack your own picnic or purchase food and refreshments from the concession stands. There is a playground for the kids and walkways alongside the lake.
The orchestra still performs in rainy weather, so pack an umbrella to stay dry if the raindrops begin dancing to the music during a performance.
